Windsor is pleased to announce that Laurent-Perrier will join the 2018 Windsor Charity Polo Cup as the event’s Official Champagne Sponsor. Laurent-Perrier will pour their famed champagne, La Cuvée, during the event’s luncheon reception, which begins at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2018, in advance of the highly-anticipated polo match.

The renowned House of Laurent-Perrier was founded in 1812 by André Michel Pierlot and Eugène Laurent. When Mathilde Emilie Perrier, the widow of Eugène Laurent, took the helm, she changed the name to Vve Laurent-Perrier. In 1939, Eugénie Laurent, daughter of Eugène and Mathilde, sold the house to Marie-Louise Lanson de Nonancourt. Upon his return from WWII, Bernard de Nonancourt, son of Marie-Louise, learned every aspect of the winemaking business from vine to cellar. This knowledge led Bernard to create the signature Laurent-Perrier style of freshness, elegance, and finesse and allowed him to create a unique range of champagnes. Laurent-Perrier is family run to this day by Berndard’s daughters, Alexandra and Stéphanie.

The champagne served at the luncheon will be paired with a menu specially-crafted by Windsor’s Executive Chef Robert Meitzer, featuring passed canapés, a beef tenderloin and crab entrée, and a delectable chocolate and raspberry dessert.

The luncheon is sold-out with more than 800 guests attending this year, almost double the number since the inaugural biennial charity polo cup took place in 2012.

Co-chaired by the Hon. Hilary M. Weston and Salvatore Ferragamo, the Windsor Charity Polo Cup is recognized as the premier high-goal charity polo match of the season. Taking place from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2018, on Windsor’s polo grounds, the event will feature a roster of top-level international players. The biennial event’s purpose is to raise money for The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, as well as the Alzheimer & Parkinson Association of Indian River County.
