Hilary and Galen Weston Host Luncheon at The Carlyle to Celebrate Christopher Le Brun Exhibition, January 18, 2017
On Wednesday, January 18th, Windsor co-founders Hilary and Galen Weston, hosted a luncheon at The Carlyle to celebrate Composer, a major two-part exhibition of renowned British painter and President of the Royal Academy of Arts Christopher Le Brun PRA. Taking place in spring 2017 at The Gallery at Windsor, Florida, and Albertz Benda, New York, the two concurrent shows will display a body of work drawing from the connection between painting and music. Together, the works encompass a complete new cycle of Le Brun’s paintings.
The luncheon included remarks from Hilary Weston, the Creative Director of The Gallery at Windsor, as well as Thorsten Albertz, Founding Partner of Albertz Benda, who gave a glowing introduction to Le Brun. Le Brun took guests through the creative process behind the exhibition, sharing interesting insights behind the works that will be shown.
Le Brun’s exhibition at The Gallery at Windsor will feature 16 works in total, including new large-scale paintings and important private loans. The second part of the exhibition, opening a week later in New York, will feature 12 new paintings demonstrating the breadth of scale that characterizes the artist’s most recent work.
