As excitement for the 2018 Windsor Charity Polo Cup mounts, Windsor is pleased to announce Falasiri Oriental Rugs and Windsor members Tim & Mary Mullan and Chris & Maria Whittle as Team Sponsors for the February charity match.
From unique contemporary creations, to fine antique masterworks, Jafar Falasiri has been sourcing exquisite carpets to discriminating clients for 50 years. Whether a cutting-edge rug from an artist’s studio, a palace carpet from a country estate, or a rare horse trapping from the plains of Uzbekistan, he has crisscrossed the globe to find pieces that satisfy his connoisseur’s eye.
“We are blessed by our wonderful community, our terrific clients, and the opportunity to help support Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s research. The Windsor Charity Polo event allows us to celebrate all those things, with the big bonus of a beautiful day and a wonderful time! What can be better than that?” said Jafar Falasiri.
Windsor members Tim & Mary Mullan and Chris & Maria Whittle have joined forces to sponsor a team and have aptly named it “Pezuñas Calientes,” which when translated means “hot hoofs.” Mary Mullan and Maria Whittle are two of the original founders of the Windsor Charity Polo Cup.
“We are very proud to join the Whittles in sponsoring a team for the 2018 Windsor Charity Polo Cup. It is a wonderful and not to be missed event that raises substantial funds to help those in need in the Vero Beach community and elsewhere. We look forward to an exciting match and a fun-filled day, which will directly benefit two very important organizations who are on the front line in the battle against Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases,” said Mary Mullan.
Co-chaired by the Hon. Hilary M. Weston and Salvatore Ferragamo, the Windsor Charity Polo Cup is recognized as the premier high-goal charity polo match of the season. Taking place on Saturday, February 17, 2018, on Windsor’s polo grounds in Vero Beach, Florida, the event will feature a roster of top-level international players including Malcolm Borwick, Lucas Criado and Magoo Laprida.
The biennial event raises money for the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, as well as the Alzheimer & Parkinson Association of Indian River County.
