The Institute of Classical Architecture & Art, Florida Chapter Announces the 2022 Recipients of the 11th Annual Addison Mizner Awards
The Institute of Classical Architecture & Art, Florida Chapter (ICAA FL) is pleased to announce the 2022 Recipients of the 11th Annual Addison Mizner Award for excellence in Classical and Traditional Architecture. This year’s recipients – an illustrious roster of architects, designers, landscape architects, educators, urbanists, and patrons – include Fairfax & Sammons Architects, de la Guardia Victoria Architects & Urbanists, FGS Design, Martinez Alvarez Architecture, Fernando Wong Outdoor Living Design, SMI Landscape Architecture, Kemble Interiors, Elizabeth Connaughton, the Hon. Hilary W. Weston and Mr. W. Galen Weston, Jaime Correa, and Friederike H. Mittner.
The 2022 Addison Mizner Award Recipients were selected by a jury that included Jorge Hernandez, Alexa Hampton, and Lucien Steil, and will be honored at a dinner to be held at The Colony Hotel in Palm Beach on April 15, 2023, a town very much shaped by noteworthy examples of Mr. Mizner’s work. The event attracts the finest practitioners of classical and traditional design as well as their patrons and supporters.
Established in 2012, the Addison Mizner Awards recognize exemplary achievements and contributions by category in the fields of Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Interior Design, Urban Design, Craftsmanship and the Fine Arts. The awards are named for Addison Mizner, an architect whose civic and domestic works defined the standards of excellence in composition and craftsmanship for classical and traditional design in the early years of urban development in Florida.
The Institute of Classical Architecture & Art is the leading nonprofit membership organization with fifteen chapters nationwide committed to promoting and preserving the practice, understanding and appreciation of the principles of Classical and Traditional architecture and its allied arts.
