Windsor Hosts Public Tour of Reimagined Suites and Book Signing with Designer Alessandra Branca
On Thursday, April 12, 2018, Windsor opened its doors to the local community for a showcase of the new Windsor Suites, reimagined by renowned designer Alessandra Branca. Orchestrated by Pat Palmer, Secretary of the Windsor Charitable Foundation, along with Windsor’s Member Services and Marketing departments, a tour of the seven Suites and Concierge offices was conducted for 74 guests, who had the opportunity to meet the designer, followed by a delightful lunch at the Beach Club and a signing of Branca’s latest book, New Classic Interiors.
A collection of individually furnished guest accommodations overlooking the gardens of the Village Centre, the Windsor Suites serve as a centerpiece of the community. Designed in the spirit of a delightful guest room in the home of chic, well-traveled and thoughtful friends, the reimagined Suites feature updated spaces, including grand combined living and dining areas, and a collection of artwork from contemporary and emerging artists. Branca also expanded the number of rooms by creating additional studio suites, while incorporating private outdoor spaces.
“It was an honor to walk attendees through the Suites and personally present my vision for the reimagined spaces,” said Alessandra Branca. “I thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to work with Windsor on this project and enhance the Suites experience for a new generation of Windsor guests.”
At the luncheon, attendees were served an appetizer salad of baby spinach, toasted almonds, sliced apples, currants and goat cheese with a champagne vinaigrette; an entrée of chicken fracaise, prepared with lemon butter and grilled artichoke salad; and a dessert trio of chocolate mousse, Key Lime macaroons, and passion fruit tart with berries. The sumptuous meal, prepared by Chef Robert Meitzer, was paired with a selection of fine wines including of Hayes Chardonnay, Meiomi Pinot Noir, and Whispering Angel Rose.
“Thank you for a fabulous time. My daughter and I enjoyed every moment,” said April Minton, event attendee. “What a great event that was perfection at every point.”
A portion of the event’s registration fee was donated directly to support the Windsor Charitable Foundation, for a total contribution of $4,000. Established in 2015, The Windsor Charitable Foundation’s primary goal is to use the power of philanthropy to change people’s lives and improve the community. The Foundation raises funds from within the Windsor community and through fundraising events for the purpose of making grants to fund programs offered by local and national non-profit agencies.
