The Windsor Suites are a collection of individually furnished guest accommodations overlooking the gardens of the Village Centre. They serve as a centerpiece of the Windsor private residential club in Vero Beach, Florida, which was established in 1989 by Hilary and W. Galen Weston. Over the past year, Windsor and Mrs. Weston engaged with the renowned designer Alessandra Branca to execute an extensive redesign of the seven suites, Concierge office and surrounding grounds.  Branca, in partnership with Mrs. Weston, gave each suite a distinct design aesthetic, while retaining the original spirit of Windsor. That renovation is now complete.

“The redesign project was quite an undertaking for our entire team, but one I very much enjoyed,” said The Hon. Hilary M. Weston.  “I hope our Members and their family and friends are as pleased with the outcome as I am, and the experience of staying in one of these unique spaces adds to creating wonderful memories at Windsor.”

The Windsor Suites now have updated spaces, including grand combined living and dining areas. Branca reimagined the interiors, inspiring each with a mix of periods, styles, origins and palettes all suited to Windsor’s unique Florida vernacular. Each Suite is bespoke and personal, inspiring guests to feel as though they spent a weekend at a beautiful private home. In keeping with Windsor’s focus on promoting contemporary art, each Suite features works by a collection of contemporary and emerging artists.

“One of my very favorite projects!” says Alessandra Branca. “The Suites were designed with Mrs. Weston very much in the spirit of a delightful guest room in the home of chic, well-travelled and thoughtful friends.”

Branca expanded the number of rooms by creating additional studio suites, while incorporating private outdoor spaces in several. These inviting spaces offer guests an opportunity to experience their own private outdoor Windsor experience.

Each Suite is equipped with custom Siematic kitchens and/or bars, featuring Miele appliances and Cosentino stone counters. The baths have been updated with honed limestone or Ann Sacks marble tiles, with Kallista and Kohler plumbing throughout. New floor surfaces including oak floors in one Suite by Exquisite Flooring, ebonized wood floors or wonderfully patterned honed limestone floors in others.

The fabrics and wallpapers are unique to each Suite, chosen from custom Casa Branca Collection and Brunschwig, Lee Jofa as well as Phillip Jeffries and Donghia wallpapers. The Suites feature a mix of vintage and new furniture. Each Suite has been designed to appeal to a broad mix of discerning American and European Members and guests. The Suites reflect classic and modern Florida living, without straying from the chic interiors and elegant architecture originally created for Windsor more than 25 years ago.

The Windsor Suites are available to Members and their guests and are used for holidays, family reunions, bridal parties, private social events, board meetings and corporate retreats.
